ABOUT LAKE DOG
Lake Dog started in a small Wisconsin lake town shaped by marinas, boatyards, long winters, and dogs that never sit still.
We wanted dog gear that felt at home on the dock, on the trail, and in everyday life. Durable enough for wet ropes, sand, snow, and constant use, without looking overbuilt or tactical.
What began with a few handmade rope leashes quickly turned into a small-batch workshop focused on marine-inspired dog gear built for everyday adventure.
WHY MARINE-GRADE
Our rope leashes are made from marine-grade line originally designed for sailing applications, chosen for its strength, flexibility, abrasion resistance, and ability to handle water, sun, and changing weather conditions.
Unlike stiff utility rope, marine rope stays comfortable in hand while remaining lightweight and durable enough for daily use.
Every leash is assembled by hand using carefully selected hardware designed for reliability and long-term wear.

Our dogs have strong opinions about fetch and even stronger opinions about destroying their gear, so they test every product before it goes to market.

MEET CHUCK
Chuck is the original Lake Dog and the reason this whole adventure began. He joined our pack in 2021 and has been keeping us on our toes ever since.
A COVID-era pup with endless energy and a one-track mind, Chuck firmly believes that ball is life.
Before any product earns a place in the Lake Dog lineup, it has to pass Chuck's approval process. Every leash, collar, and accessory is tested by Chuck for durability, strength, and real-world usability. If it can keep up with him, it can keep up with just about any dog.
MEET ROO
Roo found us in 2026, and wasted no time making herself at home. Equal parts confident and charming, she's always ready to make new friends wherever she goes.
While Chuck approaches life at full speed, Roo brings a little balance to the crew. She's often the first to greet visitors at events, happily accepting pets and showing off the latest Lake Dog gear.
As our social ambassador, Roo helps us introduce dog lovers to our gear.
