Meet your dog's new bestie! This single pack Kelpy Bone is completely home-compostable, plastic-free and easy on the teeth and tummy. Made from 100% plants and seaweed, I am hard enough to withstand playtime with your pooch but natural enough that I break down in your backyard overtime. Our chews are great as a form of enrichment (always supervised) and are great for dental hygiene.
We use seaweed materials from our partners at Notpla so your pup doesn't have to chew on those plastic chew toys any longer. We're doing our part by reinventing plastic products to be more planet-friendly, safe and healthy to ensure that future generations (both two-legged and four-legged) aren't drowning in plastic. Kelpy Bones are created to replace the plastic chew toys on the market. However, they are an all natural product so just as a stick would they will crumble away (yes we designed them not to splinter!). They are sturdy enough for everyday play and chewing, but longevity depends on your dog’s play style; gentle chewers will get weeks of use, while super-chewers may wear it down faster. Either way, when it’s done, it’s safe to compost and is a safer alternative than plastic toys.
Because it’s made from seaweed and other natural materials, Kelpy Bone is home compostable. If left alone, it breaks down naturally and returns to the soil; no microplastics, no mess, just the way nature intended.
Kelpy Bones aren’t food, so they’re not meant to be eaten. However, we know dogs will eat even their plastic toys so if your dog does manage to ingest small pieces, don’t panic—it’s non-toxic and safe. Just be sure to supervise play, as with any toy.
